Last weekend I headed to Tassie for the Hellfire Cup ‘Half Satan’ mountain bike stage race. Saturday morning started with a 15km individual time trial followed by a 22km two lap race in the afternoon and a 9km night stage race. Sunday kicked off with a brutal 3.8km hill stage with a technical rock garden descent and a 3km all out time trial before lunch. I was really happy to have won all of the stages and to claim the overall win for the two day stage race. This was one of the most enjoyable events with camping on site, lunch provided each day, hot showers and clean toilets, and amazing coffee each morning to kick start the day!

This was my very first win for a mountain bike stage race and a very good indication that my riding is on track. I have been putting a large focus on improving my technical ability on the bike and I could not have hoped for more enjoyable trails all weekend to put my hard work into practice. Pretty happy how well my legs held up and were able to back up after each stage race, especially for the hill climb stage!

This weekend was another road trip to Bendigo for the Victorian cross triathlon championships. TreX also put on a dirt mistress event that involved the main triathlon race, a 15km trial run and a sprint distance triathlon race over the weekend, how could I resist!!
The main race was a solid contest with a 2 lap swim (1.5km), 3 lap rocky fast single track mountain bike course (30km) with some punchy climbs and 2 laps of extreme off road running through the scrub, over logs and river crossings (10km). I finished on the podium 3rd elite female and first Aussie female across the finish line, which gave me the Victorian cross triathlon champion title for 2015.
That afternoon I raced the 15km trail run, 3 laps of the same challenging run we race on earlier in the morning. I finished 5th female overall in the run and thoroughly enjoyed this run course again. Keen to earn that dirt mistress title I lined up Sunday morning to race the sprint triathlon 400m/14km/5km. The legs were not impressed by this stage and although the distance much shorter the pace was hard and fast. In just over an hour it was over and I was so happy to have finished 3rd elite female again and very happy to have finished 3rd overall in the dirt mistress competition. What a great weekend of racing.

What a great few weekends of racing and so happy to share some great results with you guys, my supporters, who help me achieve these big dreams…Thank you ☺
